The higher your stress level, the more cortisol your body produces. This hormone increases the amount of fat in your abdomen area, which is the most dangerous place to store fat.

5. Alzheimer’s Disease 

Stress is linked to worsening Alzheimer’s Disease because it causes the brain lesions to form more quickly.

6. Diabetes 

Not only does stress encourage you to have unhealthy behaviors, such as overeating or excessive drinking, but it also raises glucose levels in the body.
