Does your stomach growl just an hour or two after you’ve eaten? If so, don’t worry! It happens to the best of us. However, it can make it very difficult to lose weight or stick to your diet. The best way to stay healthy is to find snacks that taste great, give you a lot of great nutrients, and don’t make you feel like you’re starving in between meals. To help you find the perfect snack, we’ve created a list of snacks you should try:

Cottage Cheese or Greek Yogurt Topped with Pineapple

This is a protein packed snack that will definitely hold you over until lunch or dinner. Feel free to change up the fruit you put on top or try different flavors of greek yogurt.

Dark Chocolate and Organic Peanut Butter

Grab a piece of 85% dark chocolate and a scoop of organic peanut butter to help keep the edge off of that sweet tooth! Both peanut butter and dark chocolate have a lot of positive effects on your body, just make sure they aren’t mixed with too many other ingredients!

Apples, Bananas, or Raspberries

These fruits are the most filling of them all and will provide you with many essential vitamins and minerals.

Snap Peas with Hummus

This is a snack that is high in fiber and protein and can satisfy that need for something crunchy. Also, snap peas are 90% water, so they will definitely hold you over until dinnertime.

A Handful of Almonds or Pistachios

Nuts are great for your heart and for keeping you full! Pair a serving of almonds or pistachios with an orange or some blueberries to really keep the hunger away!

Hard Boiled Egg and Cucumber

Eggs are loaded with proteins, vitamins, and minerals. One egg has only about 75 calories, so it’s a great snack choice! Cucumbers contain more water per serving than any other vegetable, so pairing these two foods pretty much guarantees you won’t be searching your snack cabinet in an hour.

Don’t Forget – Drink Lots of Water!!!

No, this isn’t a snack, but most of the time we feel hungry it’s because we are actually thirsty! Before giving into the temptation of stomach growls, try drinking a glass or two of water.
