August is halfway over, which means fall is right around the corner! Depending on where you live, you may start to notice a drop in temperature come late September, and this can make it hard to stick to your summer workout routine. Because fall is back-to-school time, busy schedules can also make it one of the hardest seasons to stay fit! Get fit while you spend time with your family! Corn mazes can sometimes take HOURS to complete, and you will take a lot of steps trying to figure your way out.
Take Advantage of Your Kids’ Practice Time
Spending a lot of time at soccer practice? Instead of sitting and watching the whole time, mix it up by taking a jog around the park or going into the school’s weight room to get a workout it.
Rake Up Those Leaves
Get the family together or use it as alone time and clean up your yard. Raking uses a lot of different muscle groups and makes for a great workout!

This is another fun, fall activity that actually requires quite a bit of work! The constant moving and climbing will help you burn a lot of calories, but it won’t even feel like a workout!
Join a Recreational Team
Fall is the season for soccer, football, tennis, and volleyball. Check and see if there are any recreational leagues in your area, and if so, play!
Workout While You Watch
A lot of new shows start in the fall as well as college and professional football! This means, you may spend your nights in front of the television. If this is the case, use this time to do some at-home exercises. You can use dumbbells, your body weight, or even invest in a treadmill or bike to put in the room you watch TV in.
